Guns N' Roses

Guns N' Roses was a great band, with a lot of issues from band changes to drug charges to almost death. The only member of Guns N' Roses that has been in the band since it's start in 1985 is the bands founder Axl Rose. The bands best lineup ever was with Axl Rose (vocals), Slash (guitar), Izzy Stradlin (guitar), Duff McKagen (bass), and Steven Adler (drums). With this lineup the band released their biggest album "Appetite For Destruction" which went 18 times platinum in the U.S. producing such singles as "Sweet Child O' Mine", "Welcome To The Jungle", and "Paradise City". This great lineup wouldn't last long though, Steven Adler left in 1990, Izzy Stradlin left in 1991, Slash left in 1996, and Duff McKagen left in 1997. In 2001 Slash almost died of heart problems, due to drug overdoses and alcohol abuse at the age of 35. He managed to get through it and even went to form a new band with some previous members of Guns N' Roses, called Velvet Revolver which wasn't nearly as successful as Guns N' Roses.

  1. I just discovered Velvet Revolver's music a few weeks ago. Do you like them as much as Guns N' Roses?
